Practice Description

Ms. Ahern's practice primarily consists of estate planning, trust and probate law. Her estate planning practice utilizes a variety of techniques to help individuals and families from all different financial circumstances define and achieve their distribution goals, while reducing transfer tax exposure for her clients. Ms. Ahern's practice encompasses a wide range of nontax planning to tax planning, including the preparation of marital and/or bypass trusts, special needs trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, family business succession planning, wealth transfers to future generations, and entity selection and formation.

Ms. Ahern's probate practice focuses on facilitating the transfer of a decedent's property to beneficiaries, including estate administration, with or without court involvement, contested probate matters, and fiduciary and beneficiary representation during trust administration.

In addition, Ms. Ahern's practice includes general civil litigation, including insurance defense, products liability, premises liability actions, and non-profit organization related transactions. Ms. Ahern's practice also includes adoptions with an emphasis on intercountry adoptions and Child Protective Services adoptions.
